2015 Masonic Elk Tag Hunt

May 1, 2015 Announcement of the Winner:

David Sullivan of Mount Washington, Kentucky

Right Worshipful Grand Senior Warden P. Todd Jones informed us this evening of an incredible charity program. The 2015 Masonic Elk Tag Hunt is a chance for the hunt of a lifetime and will help to provide children in Kentucky with the opportunity of a lifetime. Please visit the 2015 Masonic Elk Tag Hunt web site to learn more. The winner of this drawing will receive the following:

  • Chance at a Record 400+ Class Bull.
  • Mossy Oak clothing and video package
  • Honda ATV package provided by Tri-County Cycle Sales
  • Rifle provided by Kentucky Outdoorsman
  • Guide Service and Place to Hunt provided by Hartshot Outfitters

100% of the money raised will go toward scholarships to Kentucky Youth Conservation Camps. 6000 underprivileged kids each year apply for these scholarships and the vast majority of them are denied because the funds just aren’t available. At $200 per child to go to camp, that makes our goal $1.2M. If we can reach this lofty goal every single child in Kentucky that wants to go to conservation camp this summer will get to go. That said, enter early and enter often! Even if you don’t win you still get to know you helped kids learn about and enjoy the great outdoors.

Last but not least, thanks to the GENEROUS support of Right Worshipful Grand Senior Warden P. Todd Jones, Brooks Collins, Kendrick Walker, Rickie Tharpe, Mossy Oak, Tri-County Cycle Sales, Kentucky Outdoorsman, and Hartshot Outfitters this is a REAL charitable cause. There is ZERO “administrative overhead” in this fundraiser. 100% of the money raised will go directly to sending underprivileged Kentucky youth to conservation camp this year.

Thank You Card from Kelly Elementary

Following another successful Christmas Drive for Kelly Elementary we received a thank you card from the school’s Family Resource Officer Shelly. Through the generosity of the members of Elvin E. Helms No. 926 and our visitors throughout the year we were able to provide a happy Christmas morning for 10 local children. Big thanks to Brother Jason Wallace in coordinating this program.

2014 Kelly Elementary Christmas Drive

The annual Kelly Elementary Christmas Drive, sponsored by Elvin E. Helms No. 926, was a great success again this year. To all of the Brothers of Elvin E. Helms and Brothers from other area Lodges that helped us bring Christmas to needy children, we can’t thank you enough. Through that generosity we were able to provide 10 local children with a Christmas morning they would not otherwise get to enjoy. In addition to providing them with care packages to address basic needs, each child will also have several presents to open on Christmas morning. This has been a wonderful program that continues to be more and more successful with each passing year. Thanks to Brother Jason Wallace for coordinating our efforts on behalf of Kelly Elementary.

The care packages and Christmas presents are all laid out ready to be wrapped.
