Note from the Secretary

Here is an update with respect to the proposed legislation to be presented to the Grand Lodge of Kentucky allowing subordinate Lodges to choose to conduct their business on the Entered Apprentice or Fellow Craft Degrees, as well as the Master Mason Degree.

The status of the legislation as of today is as follows:

Elvin E. Helms Lodge No. 926 has voted to present the legislation for consideration by the Grand Lodge of Kentucky.

The following Lodges have agreed to be co-sponsors of the legislation and letters under the seal of their respective Lodges, signed by the Master and the Secretary, have been received by Elvin E. Helms Lodge No. 926:

Wilmington Lodge No. 362

Paintsville Lodge No. 381

Crittenden-Dry Ridge Lodge No. 694

Lexington Lodge No. 1

Boone-Union Lodge No. 304

Walton-Verona Lodge No. 719

Florence Lodge No. 949

Bradford Lodge No. 123

The following Lodges have voted to co-sponsor the proposed legislation, but their letters have not yet been received:

Good Faith Lodge No. 95

Tadmor Lodge No. 108

Richmond Lodge No. 25

Hart Lodge No. 61

Buechel Lodge No. 896

We plan to mail the proposed legislation to the Grand Secretary on August 10 (it must be received by August 15).  If your Lodge intends to be a co-sponsor of the legislation and you have not already submitted the proper documentation to me, please do so at your earliest convenience.
